  1. It arrived today v. 8.0

It has both. Extra large printed on the tag, and 52 in ballpoint.
  2. It arrived today v. 8.0

Yeah, I saw the mention on Capsjerseys.com and pics of a NNOB one. There are a couple old GWA examples that do have names, also referred to as preseason jerseys. If anyone here on the board has more info, PM me.
  3. It arrived today v. 8.0

Sandow durene Caps, size 52. Not sure if I'm going to customize this one, but I'm jazzed just finally having a vintage durene in such great condition.
  4. Adidas NHL On Ice Jersey

I think just reading that raised my blood pressure by 20 points.
  5. eBay version 4.0

I actually asked the question yesterday. If he had answered, I might be in your shoes. Edit: Oh, and @spudrock512, it probably is just that your want list isn't exactly dime-a-dozen material. A couple of them, I can't even remember the last one I saw - available or not.
  6. eBay version 4.0

Let's hear it for ebay sellers who don't bother to answer questions. C'mon man, coupon today!
  7. It is good or not?

I heard that guy has a pretty decent gamer collection.
  8. *Dumb Question Alert* Re: Facebook Groups

I suppose it all depends on how you say it. I'd respond better to a polite "this guy's jerseys usually sell for X, so that's my offer" than some jerky "I could go elsewhere." Sure, bud. See ya later.
  9. *Dumb Question Alert* Re: Facebook Groups

Hmm. Based on his choice of fake FB name, I'm not inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt.
  10. *Dumb Question Alert* Re: Facebook Groups

I just learned that using past auction results to determine price is "bush-league nonsense." That... doesn't seem right.
  11. It arrived today v. 8.0

I have no love for the Blues, but those are two gorgeous jerseys. What's the story with the inside neck of the Adidas?
  12. First Time CSL customization

Yes. USPS is cheaper for comparable shipping time. The boxes are free and sized pretty perfectly for jerseys. Just ship them already. CSL would already be working on them by now.
  13. Dealing with Jersey Baron

The one Mike posted isn't an authentic. It has a different construction. If it were mine, I'd probably strip off the plate, take it to my local hockey outfitter, and have them reapply it so that it sits right below where the blue panels angle.
  14. It arrived today v. 8.0

Nice pickups, Spud and Fitz. I'm woefully behind on pics, but this one was easy so I'll post it. Found what looks to be an original North Stars 25th patch to go on my black ultrafil. I hope I can massage out those pinholes, but even as-is, I'm happy to have it.
  15. It arrived today v. 8.0

Glad you got that one completed, JJ! My stitching looks kind of like that gamer patch. Maybe I should offer my "professional grade" sewing services to my fellow collectors.
  16. Adidas NHL On Ice Jersey

If Carolina brought back the old font, that one could look pretty good.
  17. It arrived today v. 8.0

This guy takes better pics than me, no doubt about it.
  18. It arrived today v. 8.0

Awww don't cave. What good is finding a source if you can't show off the pickups?
  19. First Time CSL customization

Haha, exactly. What, you want me to throw away a perfectly good bread bag? If it doesn't get there, it wasn't meant to be.
  20. First Time CSL customization

    Nah. I live dangerously.
  21. First Time CSL customization

If I'm trying to eke out a couple more bucks on a jersey I just sold, I'll play the game with what kind of box to ship them in. But if I'm shipping $500 worth of jerseys so that I can spend another $250 on customizing, I really don't care if the outbound costs me $18 or $16.50.
  22. First Time CSL customization

Sure, if you like. I'm not real consistent with that, myself.
  23. First Time CSL customization

Yeah I just go with what fits best, with a preference for boxes. 2 jerseys - medium flat rate. 3-4 jerseys - large flat rate. 5 or more jerseys - re-use an amazon box or cut down a cheapo home depot moving box to size.
  24. First Time CSL customization

If you're really picky about patch placement, I always recommend placing them ahead of time. I use a little spritz of 3M aerosol adhesive, and it's worked for me. Priority flat rate is the best for shipping, IMO. You can pack blanks in pretty tight. They always come back needing some sort of ironing, so I don't worry about creating some wrinkles on the outbound trip.
  25. First Time CSL customization

If you want to conserve your plate stock, you could call them first to confirm which colors (if any) they still have Edge plates for. If they have them, and you ask for them, they'll charge an extra ten bucks per jersey. Otherwise, in the past I just asked for layered numbers to on-ice specs. The only time I included a picture was for the retro third, to show the number placement wrt the body stripes. All of the CSL jobs I've ordered (or purchased secondary) were well done. Are you including patches for them to sew?
