  1. OOPS! Fixed now - thanks!
  2. We are testing out a couple of new features here on the IJBB. As some have you may have already noticed, we now have links up on the top menu to IJBB Live Chat, and IJBB Blogs. The live chat will allow community members to communicate in real time. We hope this will enhance members' ability to initiate lively discussions in a more social manner. The key to the success of the chat room is to keep it clean, friendly, relevant and social. It should be a place where like-minded hockey fans and jersey enthusiasts can feel welcome, whether it is to initiate a lively debate on a relevant topic, or just simply chill. As for the blog section, we are opening it up to anyone who wants to start a hockey or jersey related blog in the epicenter of the most captive audience for that subject. We also allow users to link to blogs they may be running elsewhere, but we encourage you to start a new one here and help enhance the IJBB community. The moderating team will be keeping a close watch on how things play out, and we trust that the good people here on the IJBB will help make sure these new features are used in the most productive and enjoyable way possible. We look forward to seeing what you all have to add to the IJBB community. Regards, CryWolf
  3. Good news - the issue has been resolved, and settings should all be working now. Apologies for the long delay, however I didn't get any notification of PM's that were sent to me about this. As you all probably know, my responsibilities keep me from being involved here on a regular basis, and i'm sorry if it has lead to some frustration. In the future if there is an issue, a quick tweet will usually catch our attention and lead to a timely resolution (which is what happened this time). Regards, CW
  4. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are looking into it and hope to have this resolved moving forward. -CW
  5. Thanks for the support - this forum isn't my day job, but i'm doing my best! You may have noticed we went down again for a few minutes just now. This is likely due to the excessive load today with the upgrade, but we are still doing our best to get things fixed up. Once again, thanks for hanging in there!-CW
  6. We have implemented an upgrade which should solve many of the issues we have encountered lately. Things may be a bit funky as we get things up to speed, and we are trying to restore whatever we can from old data - but not sure we will get everything. Thanks for your patience!
  7. Hi All, Sorry for my lengthy absence from the forum, but I do keep an eye on things from a distance, and I know the mods are doing a great job of keeping things running smoothly - so I have been leaving things in their hands for the most part. Anyhow, I am jumping in today to mention that we are looking for a few individuals who would be interested in being occasional contributors to our Real Hockey Fan blog. The blog was launched last season in a very informal manner as a bit of a test. We haven't done anything with it since March, but are now ready to kick things into high gear. The goal of this blog, is to be a place where REAL hockey fans and fans of hockey jerseys and merchandise will have a platform for their perspective on all things in the world of hockey. We would like to see columns written from a fan's perspective about what is happening in the game of hockey, with a particular focus on the jerseys and merchandise of today, as well as some historical reference when applicable. We really want to make this blog a place for fans to contribute an intelligent and insightful perspective and opinion on the game of hockey and hockey merchandise in particular, and hope to give the blogger a lot of freedom in terms of content and opinion. It is important however to note that the blog is still representative of IceJerseys.com, and is not intended to be used as a personal soapbox for self promotion. Although there will not be any formal compensation for contributing to the blog, it will be an opportunity to have your material exposed to our huge customer base of hockey fans around the globe. In addition, once we see some consisitent quality contributions, there will likely be opportunities for contributers to be compensated with gift certificates or merchandise, as well as the possibility to run contextual affiliate links to relevant IJ merchandise and be compensated on a commission basis for any resulting sales. If you would be interested in contributing, please send me a PM indicating your interest. If possible, please provide links to any examples you may have of your work (or even some well written posts if you don't have anything else). In addition, please let me know why you would be a good candidate and what interesting perspective you feel you could bring to the Real Hockey Fan blog, as well as how often you would feel comfortable contributing content. If we feel that you are a good candicate, we will get back to you to work out the details. We look forward to getting a few good writers on board, and hope to hear from many of you as soon as possible. Thank you, CW
  8. Hi All, I know it's been a while since I have posted on the forum, but I come bearing some exciting news! IceJerseys has launched our official blog, called 'The Real Hockey Fan Blog'. The focus of the blog will be content from the real fans of the game we love, as well as content directly from IJ, including an insider's view of the jersey business and licensed hockey industry. We have launched with a few posts from Dave, also known as 'Keener' here on the BB. We are interested in featuring some additional content (written or possibly even video) from those in the IJ community who believe they have something of quality and substance to contribute from the perspective of a real hockey fan. If you feel like you want to contribute on an occasional basis, or be a regular contributor, please send a pm to Keener and we will see if there is a fit. Although the blog is small and we are just getting the word out about it now, we have big plans for it, and hope to grow it significantly over the next few months. Please check out RealHockeyFan.com, and contribute comments on the blog and provide us with any feedback you may have here as well. Thanks for your participation! - CW
  9. For the record, I believe this jersey was done very early on. At that time we had been misinformed about customization details. We have been customizing all Flyers jerseys correctly for a long time now, so you can be confident that a Giroux, or any other jersey for that matter will be done correctly, and as always, we stand behind our product with our 100% satisfaction money-back guarantee.
  10. Hi All, I'd like to introduce Keener, who will be a new IJ representative and mod on the boards from here on in. As you are all pretty much aware, I've been pretty scarce around here lately due to various responsibilities that limit my time on the forum, so I felt it was time we had somebody available who will be more accessible and part of the day to day conversation here. First, he's taken his name from Mike Keane, not coach Keenan. So hopefully that makes you all like him a bit more. Second, Keener is an extremely passionate hockey (and baseball) fan, as well as a budding professional sports journalist. He loves his Habs and he's very excited to get involved with the IJ community. He will also be my Ivanka and Don Jr (not that I am in any way like The Donald), so he will be my "eyes and ears" on the boards. He will also be your direct link to any concerns, questions, comments or praise that you want us to be aware of regarding IceJerseys.com or the IJ BB. I am hoping you will all welcome him with open arms...and don't worry, I'll still be on the boards from time to time - especially when someone needs to be fired!
  11. Most people will enter all caps or all lowercase in the form, and it doesn't really matter. People also will use mixed case if they want us to be aware of a name that uses a lowercase letter in it (like McWHATEVER). It isn't really necessary to indicate the mixed case for the majority of known NHL players, as we are aware of most. It would only be helpful to us if it is a personal name or perhaps an obscure NHLer. In those instances it is a good idea to give us some guidance (you can also make a note in the special instructions at checkout).
  12. To answer your question, we will catch 99% of the mispellings that come in on NHL players. In that case, we usually make the correction (if it is an obvious mistake, like requesting no 8 and 'OVECKIN' on a caps jersey). If it something a bit less obvious, like no 94 and SMITH on a Kings jersey (which would likely be Ryan Smyth, but could also be for anyone with a last name of Smith), we would probably contact the customer to verify.
  13. Just an FYI, we have just expanded the KractIce line with a number of cool new designs. The KractIce line is developed with hardcore hockey fans in mind, so let us know what you think! We are always interested in feedback and suggestions. Check it out here: KractIce Hockey Lifestyle Apparel Thanks! CW
