Not so much an "Arrived Today" as it is a "Finished Today"...but I finally wrapped up this little project last night:

Been wanting to attempt this for a while after seeing how the team did this and that Pro Knitwear was apparently hesitant to offer it to customers more than a few times.  Avery iron-on transfers worked wonderfully.  First one I totally messed up.  The key was firm pressure and not being nervous/afraid.  Nailed it after the first try.

Any chance you'd be willing to do one for me? I'd love to have one on my Kessel.

I wish Adidas would sell the MIC at retail...

We all do, but I doubt anything is going to change. They’ve made the decision from a business standpoint. Collectors who want the MICs are a small portion of the market and manufacturing enough of them for retail likely won’t get them a good ROI.

I don’t like the logic, but it is sound logic.

Ugh. That is the worst looking jersey the Hawks have ever worn. It pains me as it’s the only outdoor game they’ve won, but that’s an abomination I will never have in my collection

I know it's not the prettiest but it's a great reminder of the fact that Sidney Crosby has never won a game in Chicago.

I, of course, order stacks and stacks of Priority boxes to make sure I'm always covered. They are near perfect for jersey shipping IMHO.

The board game boxes are perfect for shipping multiple jerseys, in case anyone is unaware of them.

  5. Alright, so the Isles stripped cleanly. It was a quick removal (relatively speaking) since it wasn't a double digit number. The imprints from the numbers/name/plate are still there but the jersey is ~15 years old so that stuff has been on there for a while. Running it through the wash should help.

It is paper. The good news is that, while it will be a daunting and time consuming strip job, everything will almost certainly fall right off. The machine-stitched stuff is rarely sealed well.

Yep. I've done several of these and they strip cleanly.

Yeah, but if the thread is really thin like on mine, it's tough to cut through a ball of stitches with threads that thin.  The letter might just cling to the jersey by the corner until you cut through every last thread.  I ended up tearing a couple of small holes in the fabric because of that.  Again, I hope your threads are thicker and easier to remove...

EDIT:  Whoops, I misunderstood what you meant about the paper backing- if that white stuff is paper and not threads, then you'll be fine.  Just ignore what I said above!  ☺️

    Yeah, here’s a closeup:

Are you sure about that?  I'm no expert on Premiers, but all the ones I've seen have the vector embroidered directly into the Premier fabric, which is not the same material as the legit Edge vector patch.  You'd literally have to cut a hole in the Premier to remove the vector, which isn't a patch.

    Interesting. I’ve been told otherwise.

Oh well, I’ll probably just buy the patch by itself. It’ll be cheaper that way.

    Also, my latest arrival:

Got it as an OBO $50 plus I had $15 in eBay Bucks. It’s a factory-customized Trent Hunter so it’s going to be stripped. Sadly, it’s another three-layer with all three stitched directly to the jersey.

Wow, never thought of that. Do you have to provide the vector to them or so they already have some? I thought about buying a wordmark and trying to find a dirt cheap vector jersey to use the patch. If CSL can do it all that’s much easier

I’m going to provide the vector. The vectors on Premiers are the right material so if I can’t find the right patch by itself, I’ll buy a cheap vector Premier and take the patch from there.

I’d add, I don’t know if there is any difference other than tagging. I don’t think the fight strap attachment differs like in the Edge.

I’ll take a look when I get home. I’ve got a couple of Koho gamers.
