  1. Meigray Expo 2018

It is the one at the bar, and the drinking really was fun on a Sunday afternoon. The problem is that they serve food at the bar and my jerseys ended up smelling like french fries afterward. I was more than a little worried about the smell lingering-- and oil stains from the tables. I had my collection laid out on a table, kept checking for grease marks. Thankfully, no harm.
  2. Meigray Expo 2018

At the Minnesota expo last fall I enjoyed seeing the jerseys hung up in the racks. It's easier to sort through and get a sense of the range of players/teams. There was one guy with a beautiful old-school ECHL collection that he had hung up. The issue for that event was the venue, just too small. Meigray at least has space.
  3. Meigray Expo 2018

It's been real interesting to watch some of that old inventory on MGG's ebay page. I still see the same jerseys go up repeatedly with no bids at $99.00. I still don't envision another flash sale, though.
  4. Meigray Expo 2018

Especially in our respective lines of work.
  5. Meigray Expo 2018

Eh ... I don't exactly make a lot of sense these days. Nor do I buy many Meigray jerseys any more.
  6. Meigray Expo 2018

I un-subscribed from the MGG email list (too many promotions). Have they announced terms of the sale yet?
  7. Meigray Expo 2018

Too bad you're not going, there's a GI from 2017-18 I'd like a discount on. We could always partner up.
  8. *Dumb Question Alert* Re: Facebook Groups

Samesies. I have my spreadsheet and my wife knows some random names in the hobby. However, I would not trust many people in the hobby to work with a surviving family member to properly sell off my jerseys.
  9. eBay version 4.0

I know I am being cheap on these jerseys, so take my comments with a grain of salt. The higher-end one, though, has many comparables on the market that haven't moved at far, far less than what the guy has his up for. Hoping to grab it but I won't get it until the price goes way down.
  10. Jersey Collector's Glossary

Time to re-boot my favorite thread with a new term: Scorched earth- The moment when you realize you sold off all of the random jerseys from your collection to raise funds for other purchases and the only jerseys remaining are the ones you actually care about.
  11. Meigray Expo 2018

The sale terms should be released early this week, right? I have really stopped buying jerseys from our friends in Branchburg given my other collecting interests but I do have one on my list for this sale.
  12. eBay version 4.0

What's the point of having a best-offer price if you automatically decline everything to within $5 of the listing? Not trying to be cheap but my best-offer on a $45 replica keeps getting rejected. Or how about the seller who has a jersey for $300 up for years, finally lowers the price to $275 and then keeps the best-offer floor the same price?
  13. *Dumb Question Alert* Re: Facebook Groups

    Added to the list.
  14. *Dumb Question Alert* Re: Facebook Groups

Only had one money order transaction. I sent a large amount via two grocery stores to a player on the other side of the country with absolutely no assurance he'd send me the jersey. Turns out, the player sent me an extra jersey for my effort. But that has no bearing on a Facebook sale. Whatever you're selling, TBG, discount it 50 percent and I'll buy it via PayPal.
  15. eBay version 4.0

See, I'd feel more comfortable buying a 58G Adidas than I will a 60G Adidas. Good price on a really nice jersey!
  16. Adidas NHL On Ice Jersey

I've owned plenty of Edge 58Gs. The arms are a bit baggy but the chest has always been fine. Not sure how the adidas 60G will wear in comparison.
  17. Adidas NHL On Ice Jersey

Has anyone purchased an Adidas goalie gamer yet? I am looking at a GI goalie jersey that's a 60G. That size makes me a bit nervous, wondering if I'll be swimming in this thing.
  18. What jersey did you wear today?

You know what else was said (by @Brilliant!)? Don't quote posts with the prior pictures in it.
  19. What jersey did you wear today?

    That's what she said.
  20. *Dumb Question Alert* Re: Facebook Groups

The mods suck in that group anyway.
  21. *Dumb Question Alert* Re: Facebook Groups

The goalie group is hard. My browser will go days with no new posts and then I all of a sudden see bunch dated for weeks ago.
  22. *Dumb Question Alert* Re: Facebook Groups

Bump. There, am I doing it right? LOOK AT ME!!!!!
  23. *Dumb Question Alert* Re: Facebook Groups

Facebook selling makes no sense. I tend to sell the most random junk out of my collection but some of my decent jerseys (especially those above $250) get no movement. But we all know the secret to successful selling is to either 1) Bump your post every hour or every day or 2) Simply delete a post and then re-post the same thing a week later. Courtesy is not often a consideration.
  24. *Dumb Question Alert* Re: Facebook Groups

Pokemon cards??? Please DM screenshot that to me so I can add it to my list.
  25. *Dumb Question Alert* Re: Facebook Groups

Some of you may know about a certain hobby of mine: I take note of all of the off-topic sales posts that appear in jersey groups. Most of the time, the mods are quick to remove these. However, this list is short given that I don't get all of the off-topic stuff that could possibly link to jerseys (like hangers or mannequins) or get to random things that are included with jersey posts. Often the offending person realizes that they're in the wrong and will apologize, but not always. Since December 2016: *Riding lawnmower *Jeep *Two lamps, one with a shade and the other sans shade *Recipe for corn salad (puck group) *Signed Drew Brees football card *Smackdown belt signed by Carmella *Signed Happy Days photo *Candle holder wedding centerpieces *Entire set of Pokemon cards *Yamaha moterscooter *Alan Jackson collector plates *Dartboard, wireless printer, toaster (one post) *Honda Civic *White sofa *Two pairs of running shoes *Microwave stand *Pair of tickets to see Queen with Adam Lambert *Pair of dishwashers *Mighty Ducks Sweatshirt *60+ 8 tracks tapes *Women’s golf clubs *Orange football cleats *Holiday lights and tree
