    I agree.
  2. eBay version 4.0

I was also confused about it until I asked Slim about it about a year ago, and he forwarded that link. My question was did Team Choice have their hem stamp on the entire 89 Calendar year since I too thought Mike's first games were the 89-90 season. His pics in #39 are from an exhibition game against Dynamo Riga in January of 89 while Maruk still had #9, so prior to the 2 playoff games...
  3. eBay version 4.0

Technically Modano's rookie season was 89-90 but that jersey would not have had the Team Choice hem stamp on it. Mike suited up for two games in the 88-89 playoffs... here's the gamer for reference... http://www.gamewornauctions.net/products/1988_89_Mike_Modano_North_Stars_Game_Worn_Jersey_ROOKIE_Photo_Match-2527-81.html The one on ebay is from the jersey book.
  4. eBay version 4.0

Oh, where have I been looking?!? I see these guys list a tonne of jerseys so I must have just skipped over the other/teal Sharks ultrafil. I'd scoop one up if I had a player I liked on the expansion Sharks. Edit: I shouldn't say I didn't like any players, I think the Wizard and Irbe could have some merit for going on an early Sharks jersey.
  5. eBay version 4.0

I thought it was only the preseason 91, as we know the regular season were airknit. The jerseybook only covers 91-92 so I thought it could be a later season in the 90s. Anyway, nice to see a Sharks ultrafil, would be awesome if it was the road teal.

Possibly 91' preseason or 92-93 season or later? I've never seen one come up before. If someone wants it, you could probably get a better price at classicvintagejerseys.com their online store.
  7. The Patch Thread 2.0

Maybe message the seller and see if he has anymore? I bought one then he immediately relisted 2 more.
  8. Collecting Your Least Favorite Team

I'd find it tough to own a Leafs jersey, but I can admit they do have some aesthetically pleasing jersey lately. Being a Stars fan liking my green jerseys, I could maybe/maybe go for a St. Pat's. Come to think of it, I did own the 2002 green St. Pat's Sundin. I was happy to move it and have to say the roster of the Leafs currently is more likeable than in the 90s-00s so I could consider it. I own a Crimson Canucks Heritage Classic and I also can't stand the Canucks but love the color of the jersey and have respect for the Sedins so... And I also have a Red Wings TBTC and was never fond of them, but who doesn't respect Nik Lidstrom/Steve Yzerman... and what brings me even greater joy in owning it is knowing the Wings always played poorly when they wore the TBTC that year. So yeah I can collect other/disliked teams since my appreciation for certain players and designs overrides my dislike for their teams. I like to buy them in new/almost perfect condition and keep them only for displaying. If I was wearing them, my approach to buying would likely be different.
  9. The Patch Thread 2.0

I've checked it out against game worn jerseys (and against the ebay repro's) and I'd say it's legit. I ended up picking one up for my white NHL2000, couldn't resist the double patch. I've seen this seller sell an authentic 99 Cup patch in the past too.
  10. The Patch Thread 2.0

https://www.ebay.com/itm/NHL-Western-vs-Eastern-Conference-Stanley-Cup-Patch-2000/183167925831?hash=item2aa5a8be47:g:u-4AAOSwpDpanZu- Almost certain we have an original 2000 cup patch. I followed a link to ice_hockey_patches 2000 patch and the C in Cup is different among other things. I hope a Devs fan can enjoy this and put it to good use since I have no use for the memory of that Cup - signed, this Stars fan PS- hook me up with a 91 Red/Green
  11. What jersey did you wear today?

It was a very fitting way for the Sedins to close it out at home. I will have my Sedin jersey out of the closet all this weekend for their final game.
  12. It arrived today v. 8.0

Yep. I was hopeful since I successfully stripped another white mesh just days earlier. There was glue left on that one, but it all came off with acetone. The Whalers didn't really even require any cleaning after the strip.
  13. It arrived today v. 8.0

Thanks! I was pretty pumped to get this one. Just happy to own a Sandow. Yes it had 30 on it, but was probably the easiest strip I've done to date. I was nervous about the strip to begin with, because it could have been Greg ****en Millen but now it's gunna be a Ronnie Franchise.
  14. It arrived today v. 8.0

Just a blank... well it's been stripped but there was zero glue residue so I have myself a new 35 year old Whalers Sandow. My first and foreseeably only Sandow I will own. Soon to be a Francis #4 from 81-82 rookie season. This is the same design they wore in 82-83 when Francis changed to #10 and they wore cooperalls. Is it just me or does 18 year old Ron Francis look like he's 38? Some pictures show the Whalers wearing a 10 years of hockey patch in 81-82 but any pics I've seen of Francis have been patchless.
  15. The Want List

It's not for me, but I have a contact for anyone who is looking to offload any CCM Vintage series jerseys - size 48 or 52... looking for the following: Montreal with lace neck Boston with lace neck Colorado Rockies Vancouver Toronto Philadelphia Minnesota North Stars LA St. Louis Vancouver NY Rangers
  16. Help on WHO TO PUT ON THIS!

2 great choices and a nice looking jersey. I'd probably go with Larionov since it was his first NHL season, but you can't go wrong with either guy.
  17. It arrived today v. 8.0

Thanks, it's a new fav in my collection. Total one hit wonder! I actually sent Keener the playoff pics, but he does deserve the credit for doing it to a T. I'm very happy with how it turned out.
  18. Help on WHO TO PUT ON THIS!

I second this. Although I'd lean towards Beezer.
  19. It arrived today v. 8.0

  20. It arrived today v. 8.0

An order from Keener came back today. The Carey is a new custom, the other 2 just got nameplate updates. The Crosby isn't matching swift material, which is a little unfortunate, but I can live with it. 1993-94 Carey rookie 2010 Vancouver Olympics Crosby Golden Goal 1991-92 Nolan
  21. It arrived today v. 8.0

Awesome find for a great price! I love those 90s IHL jerseys. Best of luck with the nameplate and patch hunt and I second it, that you've gotta do a Pokey Reddick.
  22. 2017-2018 Jersey Watch

Another one I just found out about was the H within the Whalers logo. I never really caught it or looked for it before until recently it was brought to my attention.
  23. The Want List

I'm looking for a home white early 90s Sabres ultrafil 52 and up, preferably blank.
  24. Jersey fabrics

Thanks for the reply, in hand it feels like a lighter cheaper ultrafil.
  25. Jersey fabrics

Old thread but a good place for this question. I have one jersey in my collection which I'm not sure what you would call the fabric. It's definitely not Air knit, ultrafil, mesh or swift. It's a mid 90s Bauer and it most closely resembles ultrafil, however the material is a lot lighter in thickness and weight. The outside of the jersey is smooth and coloured black, but the inside is white. The tag says 100% polyester. It wrinkles very easily. Is this superfil/double knit or what am I looking at? Here's a pic, you can see outside black and inside (around the collar area) white.
