NYIJM29
Hes killed me in fantasy...stupid stupid me for picking him up Not trying to come off as sounding mean, but why would you ever take him? My general rule of thumb for fantasy hockey is never draft an Islander if you want to win
xcdude
Chris Drury is the only Ranger that can win faceoffs. Thus he is not horrible. Ranger fans just expect to go 82-0-0 sometimes and don't think. Well not all of them, but my Dad recently put me on his "rangers" mailing list from his work and I can't read them. If I hear another "Trade Gaborik and put Avery on the first line where he belongs" rant again I may explode on all of them.
NYIJM29
Fisherman authentic, Palffy $750. Only problem is the customization is a little off. http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-YORK-ISLANDERS-PRO-CCM-FISHERMAN-PALFFY-JERSEY-52-/250759608524?pt=U_Hockey_Fan_Shop&hash=item3a626ff8cc

xcdude
Looks like they used an Avalanche-style A on the front. I may or may not have just called the seller out on it because in the description he says it is perfectly customized.
NYIJM29
I may or may not have just called the seller out on it because in the description he says it is perfectly customized. Should be kiss cut and the numbers should be larger. Unfortunately, I bought an authentic one that was customized like that, which is what they used on the replicas I think (retailers did not make money on the fish sticks jerseys). Still no reason for being at that price. VS
F-liars
The name and numbers are definitely off, but I was looking into the "A". Based on Getty Images, it turns out the Islanders used at least three different styles. From 1995 up to Dec 1996, the Avalanche-style "A" was used. Then in Jan 1997, the "A" becomes the italicized version of their player name font. The top and middle bars of the "A" are horizontal and parallel. For the 1997-98 season according to this game-worn jersey, the "A" is straightened up with the top bar horizontal, but the middle bar now slants upward. xcdude
All the images you show are not the Gorton's fisherman logo like the guy has for sale. Its when they reverted back to the old logo, so its still wrong. Even though the guy emailed me back and insisted he is right.

Not only is it one of the terrible Sabres Away fakes, it's signed, and "certified". Nice move with the tag close up too. All this can be yours for the reasonable price of $325.00! There has to be away to report this store.

I said it was off in the first sentence. The whole point was how the "A" evolved in a short time span. In 1996-97, the Islanders interchanged the fisherman with the circle logo at times (25th anniversary patches were on both versions), but the customization styles remained the same. The second image has the fisherman logo. I got your Palffy fisherman with Avalanche-"A" right here:

JimmyGagner
that seller is notorious for having insanely high prices, did you look at everything he has? $1300 for a Modano authentic...WTF? He's been discussed many times over and IMO he's nuts.

JimmyGagner
Living in Jersey is punishment enough. I lived in Linden for about 6 months and hated it. I know that's not exemplary of all NJ but my time in the state was nothing short of horrible.

NYIJM29
I made offers on his blue CCM Isles jersey from the early 90s. $275 is crazy for an authentic blank jersey.
