Thelonious Sphere Monk
Sorry for bringing up an old thread back to life, but I'm still a little confused. I'm assuming that since Nike made the older Team USA jerseys, they'd have fight straps, since the NHL Nikes did. I found a couple of 1998 USA jerseys on eBay and they have the authentic tags, but they don't seem to have fight straps. Does anyone own any 1998 Nike USA jerseys that could help me out? If they do not have numbered sizes they are NOT authentic. they could just be legit replicas.
JeffB
Another difference I have encountered is that my replica jersey, size L, came with a sublimated crest. My retail jersey that came customized as a Leetch, size 52, came with an embroidered crest. It did not come with the "C" or the tournament patch. Neither has a fightstrap, nor does my Nike Czech Jagr that is number sized.
IIHFjerseycollector
If they do not have numbered sizes they are NOT authentic. they could just be legit replicas. just to clear things up, that only applies to the top division countries.. most if not all of my lower division nike iihf jerseys are letter sized.. and are completely authentic.
