It is good or not?

Good to hear. I grabbed it. It's the first ultrafil barberpole I've seen for sale in my size, so even at that price I couldn't pass it up. Thanks for the help authenticating it.

Even at that price I think it is a good deal. I was looking for months for a real Ultrafil TBTC hawks in size 48 or 52, and never saw one. I eventually settled on the authentic ccm vintage re-make, and got the last one from the stadium classics site, but that is air knit so I am very jealous. I got mine done up at TTS with Larmer and they did a great job.

I was planning to send it to EPS - think TTS would be better?

I know some folks here have had their issues with EPS, but I have always had a good relationship with both places. The turn around time at TTS for my most recents was a little over a week. EPS has taken a month for some of my orders but my most recent was done in two weeks. TTS has the proper sizing for the numbers (they were only 10 inch). I know they did not have white Ultrafil when I was getting an old white Hawks blank altered so you would want to make sure they have black ultrafil if you go with them. EPS has had ultrafil for all my recent orders so it may be best to go with them.

A friend of mine is looking to get a Voracek Flyers jersey. She doesn't really want a collectors piece, just something that's done right, even if it's just a replica, the customization needs to be right, no knockoffs.

She's looking at these two sellers. Are there better choices out there?

Well, I will first say that the only way to get the current Flyers jerseys done properly is by going through the Flyers Skate Zone in NJ who sends their jerseys to Philly Express (they do the Flyers on ice jerseys.

As for those links, it really depends on how picky you want to be. The first one looks as if it has the name font as the old Flyers road jersey (as worn in the SCF) rather than the orange jersey. As well I wouldn't be so sure that they use a twill plate. I would contact them to make sure they do use twill

The second link is closer. You will notice that the second link has a much slimmer name font. Some of the letters are still off however, most notably the R. I have a buddy who bought a Pronger orange jersey from that seller. The jersey is legit and the customization is pretty good. They do use a twill plate but like I said, the name font is off.

I myself am a bit confused regarding the number font. On the current road and home Flyers jerseys they use a smaller sleeve number than they used to on their old white and black jerseys. But most retailers still use those old numbers. I know there was a significant difference between the 8s but I cannot speak for the other numbers.

However, what is certain is that black border on the numbers has to be much thicker than it is on both of those links

It honestly is a pain to be a Flyers fan and get the current stuff done correctly. If you friend really does want it done the proper way, the Flyers Skate Zone is legit. I had my current Flyers road jersey (Richards) dont by them and it is perfect. Take a look in the link below just for reference.

I honestly think what Locker Room Sports is selling there is too expensive for a premier. But I suggest your friend should wait since Reebok is changing the logos on their jerseys from the vector to the wordmark for next season.

Thanks, I'm recommending Flyers Skate Zone to her. I don't think she'll care about the vector vs nameplate.

I'd say yes. The twill square of the fight strap looks good to me when I take a closer look at the pic of the back view.

Looks good to me too. I have the same jersey, only it's Crosby, not Malkin. :P

Okay, I didn't want to start another post so it kinda fits here.

I know it's a legit jersey. My question is What team actually wore this? Chicago Black Hawks, Portland Winterhawks. Other???

Doesn't have Tomahawk shoulder crests. Has Garter Fight Strap, made by W.A. Goodman and Sons (Era should be 76-79 approx)

Any Hawks collectors know?

So I bought this one and it arrived on Friday.

Compared to my Green Wild jersey this one looks kind of shady.

Can anyone confirm if this is legit

My link

If it is legit (which I'm pretty sure it is) it belongs in the Deals & Steals thread
