I picked this up for $55 shipped!

Initially I thought the customization was off but now that I have it in hand it looks correct as far as the name / numbers, - the alternate "A" looks small but that's an easy fix.

Thoughts?

I have one of those precustomized Fedorov Nike Wings jerseys as well.  What I don’t like about mine is that the letters and numbers are placed too low under the shoulder seam, and the back nine is vertically elongated a bit too much.  I can’t tell if that’s the case with yours because the camera is tilted relative to the jersey.

Is this Thrashers 1.0 legit?

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F323589613803

This is the first Thrashers jersey in a size 46 I’ve seen.  Since they’re defunct, how rare are Thrashers jerseys these days?  This one is pretty overpriced.  I don’t want to make an insulting offer but he’d have to come down a decent amount because I don’t think his asking price is close to what it’s worth.  Unless I’m wrong and Atlanta jerseys are more sought-after than I think.

Thank you.

I ended up contacting the seller to see how much he’d come down but he’s not going to move it for any lower than about $180.00.  As far as 1.0s go, this is pretty high, isn’t it?  Can anyone give me an idea of how common Thrashers jerseys are in the lower sizes?  Still seems to high to me.

I don't know how rare Thrashers jerseys are, but $180 for a blank 1.0 seems pretty high to me.  I wouldn't spend more than $100, maybe $125 if I really wanted it.

I believe I would pay $180 for the Devils 1.0 I am looking for.

Based on my typical habits, that’s about $50 more than anyone else on earth would pay for it.

I'd keep it in the watch list and make my best offer when there's an ebay coupon.  150 less 15% isn't too bad for a 1.0 assuming he'd come down a bit.

Doesn't this jersey look like the put a patch over a 10th anniversary patch or am I seeing things?

The orange patch is explained in the item description.  There’s also a Tikkanen 89/90 gamer on Drop the Pucks that has the same patch covering the 10th Anniversary one.  What seems strange to me is that, if the seller is correct about the CCM airknits being originally marked for usage during the 88/89 season (therefore explaining why the 10th Anny patches were on them in the first place), then how is it that the CCM hem logos on these are big blocks with the NHL shield, which supposedly didn’t appear until the latter half of the 89/90 season?  Why would someone put a patch from the 88/89 season on jerseys that didn’t exist until 1990?  Also this jersey doesn’t have a nameplate, while all the others from this era seem to have them.  I’m not saying the gamer is fake, but there are a couple of strange things about this one.

There's a story behind those 10th anniversary Oilers jerseys. I owned a few many MANY years ago. The story goes that CCM was all set to unveil a set of new jerseys (with their new logo) for the Oilers in 1988-89 that came complete with their 10th anny patch....however, somebody forgot to check and see that the team was still under contract with Nike at the time. So, being the frugal Canuckleheads that they were, they removed the patches from the CCM jerseys and applied them to their Nike ones. Then, after CCM bought out the league contracts in 1989, the jerseys were relevant again. So, the trainers covered up the glue spots from the patches, had the NHL shield put on the hem and used them for the upcoming season. And for years to come too. I had one (Norm MacIver I believe) that had the patch covered up with 90/91 written in the collar. Hell, I'm pretty sure I've even seen those used early in the 1991-92 season.

Hey guys, so I’m new to this and want to know if I can get assistance with identifying the authenticity of a jersey. Definitely don’t want to waste my time and money on a fake jersey, because we all know how crappy that would be. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Here's the link of the jersey with pictures: https://www.ebay.com/i/172631436697?chn=ps

That is a legitimate (official) replica jersey, not a fake.  For a used replica though, it is on the expensive side.  Here are some examples of similar jerseys (all legit) at better prices.  They may be of a different player, or blank, and not the same size, but it’s just to give you an idea of what’s available if you look around:

@LAK74 Thanks for pointing that out and providing the examples. I’m in the process of searching for an authentic Sakic jersey, but I’m having difficulty finding one. Unless I spend $300+ on SportsCollectibles.com , which I’m hesitant about.

@Avsfan97  No problem, and welcome to these forums!

The white Sakics on SportsCollectibles are not even authentics; they are replicas and the customization is terrible.  You are paying for the autograph.

QueenAnnesRevenge’s jerseys are always superbly lettered (not to mention beautifully photographed), and Denver Athletic was the official Avs team letterer so you know the customization is exactly like what the players wore.  You won’t find a better-looking authentic of that style anywhere.

And he's a good guy to deal with also.

That’s a beautiful jersey! Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately, I’m in the process of searching for a Sakic jersey that is size Small or Medium.

The jersey is a legit authentic.  Exclusive Pro is a high quality customizer.  (But that doesn’t always mean that the lettering will be 100% accurate to on-ice specs.)
