thebiggoalie
Okay, so when did they start counterfeitting AHL blanks? Thought I scored a deal on a blank WBS Penguins authentic, but it arrived today and turned out to be a fake (a surprisingly well-done fake, but a fake nonetheless). Needless to say, I've opened a case with the seller on eBay, so *fingers crossed* I get my money back. I didn't bother taking pics, but here's the original listing,,,Just wanted to get the word out and voice my frustration with those that understand. http://www.ebay.com/itm/140986928247?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 I saw that one and almost bit. It just looked like there were a bunch of things wrong with it. The colors are off, but I was convinced it may have been a prototype jersey. The embroidered patches were red flags, so I backed off. Good luck with your case.
Hills
I am guessing fake...but I really can't tell with the crappy photos, and I am unsure what to look for on the crest. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chicago-Blackhawks-Winter-Classic-Reebok-Jersey-Sz-52-Authentic-On-Ice-/261223725699?pt=U_Hockey_Fan_Shop&hash=item3cd225ba83'>http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chicago-Blackhawks-Winter-Classic-Reebok-Jersey-Sz-52-Authentic-On-Ice-/261223725699?pt=U_Hockey_Fan_Shop&hash=item3cd225ba83

Chiboy
I'm not sure if this ever gets posted here, so disregard if it's inappropriate. I started by looking for a Patrick Sharp jersey for my wife, since we're both big 'Hawks fans, and then thought about getting a jersey for myself. Looked on Craigslist when replicas were $160 at Sports Authority. I realized in time that there were so many fakes, but by then I had seen real jerseys and was hooked on the quality. It took me a while but I found this site, which helped me avoid a Patrick Kane All-Star fakeroo on eBay that I had purchased, but voided the next day. I ended up with a 2011 Indonesian "authentic" Kane with 2010 Stanley Cup patch slightly used for $106 after shipping. It was a long, drawn out deal with someone I found on CL who was thosands of miles away. He ended up shipping it to me before I paid him, which I did 5 minutes after it arrived. It may be an Indo-Edge, but I freakin' LOVE IT. We went to two games in the second round and folks here were right -- you end up checking out all the jerseys in the crowd and 90% of the Edges are fake. Bad fakes. Bottom line, is the folks here are very nice, very knowledgable, and very helpful, and helped steer me towards something I will really enjoy. I may not start collecting these suckers, but really appreciate the advice here, and the quality of a real (or semi-real) jersey. So thank you to all the regulars here, and good luck to those looking!
akteon
Glad it worked out for you. Good to know this site helped someone else discover how much better the real thing is compared to the fakes.

xsportsdudex
Yeah I've never liked jersey_baron ever since I saw them selling retail edge 2.0s for $25 more than IJ and having them listed as team issued.

KG777NT
Is this a team issued/authentic practice jersey? The crest seems a bit small, but it is chain-stitched...This is the old style, but did they typically have nameplates on them or not? http://www.ebay.com/itm/121120932837?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2648

guam64
It's an authentic EDGE, as for what's wrong with it: 1. The logo attached to it 2. They misspelled "CRYSBY"
LAK74
Haha, Guam you crack me up. FuzzyPenguin, although there aren't any really good closeup photos, there are still some visible indications that it's legit. On the bottom of the neck tag, you can barely see the single black line of stitching that joins the size tag to it, as well as the two bottom corners of the neck tag that are sewn to the jersey by two small black threads (they're really hard to see but they are there). You can also see the smooth texture of the x-trafil material surrounding the neck and size tags, as well as the faintly ribbed texture of the collar material. In fake jerseys these things tend to look different from what you see in these pictures.
FuzzyPenguin
Anddd someone beat me to it haha. Curse you all ! Thanks for the info though, hopefully next time I can jump on it without asking lol.
thebiggoalie
Don't feel too bad. There were no close-ups of the customization, and you couldn't even tell if glacier twill was used or not.
