Pattyy130
Anyone know who does the best job for Sens jersey? Thanks.
AngeloS76
^ If you're going for a current design, I couldn't tell you. Your best bet is to call the Sens pro shop and ask through them. But for older designs (Pre-Edge), Cutting Edge Sports did the Senators jerseys for a period of time.
Cygnus X-1
Just got that home (white) Starter Richter jersey back from Cosby's. '90's skinny font- looks great. Pics soon. I also had them put the 85th anny patch on my Hertiage jersey and they put it on the WRONG SIDE. Can you believe it?? They put it on the left shoulder (right if you're looking at the front). Any local people I could use to get this fixed? I'm in Long Island and I'm not humping back there for this

Bobcat1988
Awesome list. I believe Dallas at present is Blake's Sports Lettering. Edit: Looking at Blue Jacket and Wooten's awesome websites, I can gather that Cutting Edge Sports definitely did the inaugural 2000-2001 season and Sublistitch did 2008-09. Not definitive on the rest (to me, at least).
Mnwildfan7000
Just to confirm, Blake's sport lettering does the Dallas stars 1993 to present. Minnesota wild-Cunningham's sports 2000-2012 2004 NHL All star game was also Cunningham's Minnesota wild 2012 to when ever they play again is Heritage sports
Mnwildfan7000
Vintage Minnesota hockey is an independent web site that has vast knowledge of team lettering. They can cover your north stars needs, but as for the wild, please reference the stores mentioned above.
seedmaya
I believe Buffalo's current customizer is a place called Big Bear, but they don't do work for individuals. You can have them sent there through the Sabres Store if you specifically request them, but be aware that they use other customizers as well if you don't make a request. Jersey Express did do their work at some point in the past but I don't know when, and they still do a good job on Sabres jerseys since I don't think there are any big modifications to the standard font for them. Jersey Express also can do the anniversary thirds with the felt lettering and stitch pattern.

LAK74
Angelo, I don't have an exact starting date, but Bobcat has done Columbus' jerseys even before the 2011 season. Possibly starting in 2009, but I can't say for sure when.
AngeloS76
Ok. Lettering company switches are anything but well documented, especially when the fonts stay consistent across lettering companies. I'll leave it as an unknown, but for all useful purposes, it doesn't seem to matter as much as a switch that leads to a significant font change. It seems like the Jackets' font has stayed consistent across that time. I'll check wooten's gamers to see what I come up with
JunkyardAthletic
Los Angeles – Bobcat Athletic (2008?-Pres) Correct on 2008. Before that, they were with AIS/Sportsrobe, which is where Bob from Bobcat was previously. Tampa Bay – Cutting Edge Sports (1993-2011); Bobcat Athletic (2011-Pres) Tampa has been with Bobcat since at least 2009-10, possibly a year earlier. Angelo, I don't have an exact starting date, but Bobcat has done Columbus' jerseys even before the 2011 season. Possibly starting in 2009, but I can't say for sure when. 2009-10 is correct on Columbus. Edited January 2, 2013 by JunkyardAthletic
AngeloS76
I would disagree with 2009-2010 Tampa Bay. I've read things to say that Cutting Edge was doing their Edge jerseys, but my short search isn't finding anything to confirm that Cutting Edge did anything past 2008 (see: http://www.classicauctions.net/Default.aspx?tabid=263&auctionid=7&lotid=688). So I'll switch that accordingly.

LAK74
Angelo, Cutting Edge did the Penguins jerseys for sure all the way up til 2011. http://steelcitygamers.weebly.com/tagging-idreference.html
AngeloS76
Disagree all you want. I did the jersey authentication tag for Bobcat starting in 2009-10, and each hockey season since. One of the teams I do is Tampa Bay. That's fine. But there was a whole sentence after that, ending with me agreeing with you because I didn't have any evidence to back my claim. Did you see the updated list?
NYIJM29
Did you see the updated list? If you want, you can update the NYI to Cutting Edge from 95-2007 (could have started earlier) and Stitches is 07-08 to present
AngeloS76
Yeah, the Cutting Edge start dates (and some of the end dates, for that matter) are super rough. I have some serious homework to do for those. But it is really helpful to see hem stamps and hem tags, as Cutting Edge did them quite meticulously over the years. I wish more lettering companies would do it.
NYIJM29
I wish more lettering companies would do it. Completely agree. I think it is cool to see. I just realized on the Pilon that Cutting Edge put a stamp on the inside of the elbow!
CJ Matthews
I would just like to give everyone a heads up that the NHL Store raised their customization price from $80 to $100. Previously it would be an extra $10 for C or A but now that's included.
thebiggoalie
Does anybody know who did the Pens CCM ultrafil 1993 and on jerseys until they wore Starter, who did the Starter (Mesh) jerseys, and who did their ProPlayer jerseys? Thanks!
AngeloS76
I'd like to say that Cutting Edge was in charge of the Starter jerseys onwards, since the robo-penguin font has the same serifs as the more recent fonts, but it's just extrapolating what I've read about the Penguins. brandon
Id say just call up CE and ask them. Whoever youll talk to is generally really nice and will know instantly whether they did it or not. I bug them frequently.
