DesertRat
Inquiring minds want to know...Linden #16 "C", Mogilny #89 or Bure #96 "A"?Honestly, I think I'll leave it blank. I like the idea of having all my weirdo jerseys blank for some reason. Joey Kocur played on the 1996 Canucks for a whole 7 games. You'd probably have the only one made! Too bad the Canucks didn't use a weirdo font like the Lightning and Ducks did on their alternates.
lafountain
New addition to the Kovalchuk collection. This is the team he played for in Russia during the lockout, the Ak Bars Kazan.

Heh...that'd be pretty sweet actually. Although the uniqueness(yes, I just made up that word) would definitely be lost on the majority. That's an awesome looking Kovalchuk jersey...but what's with that name? Ak Bars? Does that make this guy their mascot?? I got this in the mail today: All this cool weather in Jersey is awesome...I'm wearing one of my Panthers jerseys as we speak!

Admiral Ackbar is the first thing I thought of when I saw the name Ak Bars also. In reality it means White Leopard or Snow Leopard which is supposed to be the symbol on the logo. Also nice Blues jersey, the Blues have pretty much always had very nice jerseys.

DesertRat
Nice pickups lafountain & Brilliant! Agreed! I received this guy today: I rushed the photo of the back, that's why everything looks a little off-kilter. This is a mock-up of the Whalers' 1981-82 jersey, with the 10 Years of Hockey patch. The Puckys are a little large, but that's alright, it's PUCKY! It certainly has that 80s feel to it, no hi-tech fabric, just mesh and tackle-twill. It was hard to justify putting anyone's name on the back other than Ronnie Franchise, as that was his rookie season and that team was completely abysmal. The jersey manufacturer is by Philly Express. Dorhort Custom Sports is who slaps these together, they have reproduced other vintage jerseys.
lafountain
Very nice one Desert. Whalers jerseys are always a nice thing to see. They had such a great design and flow to them.

Heh...it's hard to remember when the Whalers weren't completely abysmal. That's a sweet Whale jersey dude. They even got the angling on the arm stripes right; you don't see that on a lot of those eBay ones unfortunately. You gotta love the 10 Years of Hockey patch too. That's exactly why I bought it. I've never seen that patch or that stripe pattern, since those were correct for that season, I ended my quest for a Hartford Whalers jersey. It had the patch from 1982 AND the striping from 1982, that's hard to find. C'mon, the Whale won the division in 1987, I think, but you're right, they were usually awful. In 1982, I think the team GAA was over 5. I can't imagine that nowadays.

JustAnothaVictim
I finally customised my 99-00 Predators jersey. Number and letter are all handcut by myself to the exact specs and style that are used by Cutting Edge on the Predators game worn jersey. http://sports.webshots.com/photo/2305815040054115799UoQiuO http://sports.webshots.com/photo/2508812280054115799cquugf

benpc21
Very nicely done. It still amazes me that you hand cut some of your stuff. I'm a stickler for detail, but I don't think I have the time and patience to pull that off. Well done.
ZoomZoom18
To continue this incredibly long thread, I'll show off my latest IJ arrival... Why Zigomanis? He is signed for next season, the Coyotes love this guy, he busts tail, I've only seen two people with one and he's my wife's favorite Coyote . There's no Decade in the Desert (worst season since moving to Arizona) patch on the front, thank goodness, so instead, I am going to put one of those Garth Brooks Foundation Teammates For Kids patches on it. Zigomanis did play in the January 11 game where they wore those. ZIGGY!!! Nice pickup and he easily became one of my favorite Coyotes this past season! I just got a white Coyotes Rbk authentic (size 56) today and I caught what you mentioned about the suede on the tan part of the Coyote. SO far I like the looks of the jersey itself, its definitely much heavier than the replicas.
JustAnothaVictim
Thank you for the nice feedback. I just want my jerseys to look real authentic. I wore the jersey for the very first time today the whole day and figured out that the NHL 2000 patch is not the correct one. Somehow I didn't see it, when I sewed it onto the jersey. It's a dark royal blue patch
JustAnothaVictim
Here's close up photo of my work. Not the perfect stitch but the Cutting Edge Sports stitching is even more "dirty" I also re-customised my Koho Legwand authentic

DesertRat
It was Christmas today:Woo-hoo! I hope the Boston 3rd came with a pot of hunny. I always liked that Leafs one. It brings back memories of watching them on TV when I was a tot. What names/numbers will go on those?
Brilliant!
That was ALWAYS my favorite Leafs jersey. They really need to make that their new third jersey instead of the current one. I remember finding one on eBay a few months back that was a genuine authentic from the 1991-92 season that also had the 75th anny patch on it. I bid on it but the winner ended up paying like 350 bucks for it. That's just way too much money for a hockey jersey but I was still upset that I lost it. Now, obviously this isn't a '92 version but it's close enough so I love it anyway. As for a name, I haven't thought that far ahead yet. Since this is a Vintage reissue, it'll probably be somebody more current rather than an older name...don't know yet. As for the Bruins one, that'll stay blank...it's strictly for shock value and not to be worn.
ZoomZoom18
I was surprised with how huge the 56 was on my Coyotes authentic. That's okay though, I like to wear them bigger.
benpc21
Well today I came home to find a package in the mail box, only to open in and find its my 1996 LA Kings Burger King Alt. This is the second one of these bad boys I've picked up. I felt it would be wrong to have one and not have Gretzky on the back, so the first has always been saved for that. Then I decided I needed another a few weeks ago, so I could put Ray Ferraro #20 on the back, which goes with my former Winter Hawks theme. When I found it I was looking for an LA Kings jersey from 2000-2002, to add the 2002 All Star Patch and AM patch I have. On the last page of buy it now items, I found this alt jersey 2 hours into a 30 day listing with a $32.99 Buy It Now. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, quickly looked over the picture and description, as I felt the whole world had to be waiting to take this away from me at such a price, and bought it.
