Others can have their opinions but in the end I own the jersey and I put my money into it so I will do whatever I want to it. There is absolutly no need for anyone of us to come on here and ask if it's "ok" to strip this kind of jersey or "not ok" to strip this kind of jersey. Your logic is that because a player wore the jersey in a game, it's really HIS jersey and not yours, which is bs and I don't know where your logic comes from. If the jersey was that important to the player, you would think he'd say to the equipment manager, "hey, I want that", rather than allowing it to be sold. Regardless, the way buying something works is that once I give someone money for something, it becomes MINE, regardless of the name on the back or what it was used for.
