ic0dex
Part 2 Los Angeles Kings 97-98 Starter Phenix Coyotes 96-97 Starter Colorado Avalanche I think it's a 95-96. i know Rob Blake did not play for them that year and I think the jersey original had Uwe Krupp name plate on it. So I will be putting Krupp back on there with the 95-96 Stanley Cup patch. Also you Colorado fans should know who Krupp is. New York Rangers - I know Gretzky had the two Starter logos on his jersey. I couldn't find one and I think I wouldn't be able to offered one I'm, happy with what I got. 2-3 week I should have more, see you guys then. rabinsurance
Good stuff there. Yes, that Av's jerseys is a 95-96, the hem tells that. Your Coyotes is, as you correctly stated, a 96-97 (notice the shoulders and how the yoke comes to a point in the back, that was how all the retail authentics from that time were), the Starter hem tag tells that. And your Kings is, as you stated, a 97-98, the only season of the black and silver with that Starter logo. The Rangers is from either 97-98 or 98-99. Nice early Ducks, too. But what's up with the AFL-CIO tag under the pictures of your Kings jersey?

I checked every other starter from that year and they did not have it.

I checked every other starter from that year and they did not have it. Wow, I've never seen one of those. I'm guessing that jersey is a USA(Berlin, WI) made jersey. I have quite a few of those and none have that tag inside. I even dug out my white Kings, but it is a 96-97 El Salvador made jersey. Great find. Those tags rang a bell in the back of my mind so I went hunting. Both of my Josh Green 98-99 Kings game worns have those tags. Looks like they have individual serial numbers on the tags too. rabinsurance
Great work, redbeard3569. I don't have any Starter gamers or game-issued jerseys, so that's why I never saw that tag. Thanks for digging those out and posting the pictures.

Thanks for digging those out and posting the pictures. My pleasure. I had noticed the tags but never thought anything of them. I have a couple authentic Kings Starters from that time period without the tags as well. Are the AFL CIO tags in game worn or issued only I wonder? Brilliant!
I had that same set of tags on a blank crestless Bruins jersey I found on eBay about a year ago. It was a size 54 without the 'made in...' on the size tag so it was most likely a Berlin, WI jersey. It had that weirdo looking fight strap too that almost looks like it was cut from a jacket or something. I matched that same strap up on a game-worn one I had found too so it was definitely good. guam64
Almost missed out on this, but increased my bid at the last minute high enough to get it. Some punk already got to the matching white version before I saw it.    Also got in on the ebay ASG jersey frenzy like everyone else did: Both will probably be headed to EPS along with my Team Chara ASG. ic0dex
without directly saying it. i think he was. Nice! Now do I keep it blank or customize it, I did want to slap Lappys name on it.
mharolde
Nice! Now do I keep it blank or customize it, I did want to slap Lappys name on it. Lappy wore a 54 I believe. Try to find someone who wore a 52.
LAK74
Unfortunately, I don't think you'll have a large selection of Kings players who wore a 52. From what I've seen, Lappy wore a 58 in CCM and Koho airknits, so no way he wore a Starter 52.
