How many Edge colors are there?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone happen to know how many actual colors there are of Edge material? There are enough minro variances to make it a bit difficult to pin down.

I know of the following:

Black

White

Navy blue

Sky blue

Thrasher blue - slightly darker than sky blue

Royal blue

Ranger blue - very slightly different than royal blue

Red

Maroon

Dark red - I assume this is what Minnesota is

Colorado burgundy

Orange

Teal

Purple

Yellow

Forest green

Kelly green

Mint green - Is Dallas more of this color, or more of a kelly green?

I think my issue is that the photography from one team to the next can be inconsistent, so that two teams who look the same can actually be slightly different when held side-by-side, while two teams that look completely different may actually be the same. And that's not even getting into the trim colors playing havoc with the optics.

Minnesota and Montreal share the same red (187). It's interesting how the colors look different though.

Dallas I have the pantone at the office, but, it is considered more of a Kelly.

Off the top of my head, you're missing Phoenix red (Cardinal 201), LA Kings Gold (123), Boston Gold (130), and Montreal Blue (2758).

Last, imo, Rangers blue is very different from the standard royal. It is much lighter in color.

I'll tell you that the navy used in the last penguins third and the blues third are different shades. i thought they were the same but they are slightly different. The orange the flyers use is lighter compared to the orange the ducks used for their stadium jerseys. These were from my personal experiences trying to make nameplates myself for jerseys

The Flyers orange is actually a different shade than the brighter Ducks orange. I have the pantones at the office, but, the Flyers orange is considered "burnt orange" (I think it is 159). Edited by JunkyardAthletic

If I look at it entirely by grouping, my question would be what belongs in each group and what doesn't The primary focus would be just on the back panel/nameplate materials:

I'd call it sky blue, and wonder if it's the same color as Pittsburgh's alternate that they wore starting in the 2008 Winter Classic.

Looks very close I'd say

You're incorrect on the reds. Minnesota and Montreal are considered dark red (187). The rest you list are 186.

I can look up Atlanta's alternate "red", but, I believe it was the same as Phoenix.

The dark red listing you have for Phoenix should be brick red/cardinal (202; I stand corrected from my post above).

Colorado is maroon (209). Also, their blue isn't dark blue. It is a unique shade (647) unlike the others listed.

Forgot to mention Pittsburgh and their Vegas gold (871 list, 466 knit). Their throwbacks are same as Kings 123.

I almost got fooled looking for a Rangers plate yesterday.

Saw a listing on ebay from JB, but thought I should ask just to make sure before I did BIN. Glad I did cuz ROYAL blue is not Rangers blue as per JB.

The search continues...

Thank you for the info; I appreciate it.

Do you happen to have AHL or junior league color info, or just NHL?

Some minors/junior colors.

Dallas Green = 3425

FYI, whatever CCM/reebok doesn't want to bring in fabric wise, they sublimate, so, some of the colors in question might not actually be the fabric itself.
