Are there any original 1996 Final patches still around.

Or is the one sportsK is selling the closer I will get:

http://www.sportsk.com/stcuppa193.html

Compared to the one they actually wore:

Thanks!

How about Murf and Pat, could they still have original 1996 Stanley cup final patches.

From this picture they look legit:

What do you think?

could just be from a camera flash too, but that seller is all reproductions so you never know what you're going to get.

The camera might be trying to lighten the rest of the picture due to the black background, making the purple appear lighter than it would be if shot on a neutral or white background.

That's not too bad actually. Compare it to a gamer version here:

There are differences but it's not bad at all. I say go for it. Odds are you won't find a real version of that patch anywhere.

It looks like the Wild are putting the 10th anny path on their alternates. I'm planning on doing the same. Should I wait till the start of the season or just having it put on now?

Wait until it's used in a game. In the past, they did not wear patches on their red throwback alt, but did on the white and green home and roads. You never know if they are going to revert to something like that.

Also, they are starting the season with a pair of games in Finland. I suspect one of those games will be in the green jerseys with a "Premiere Helsinki" patch on it. Perhaps they will not wear the 10th Anniversary patch with that, or maybe they will double up and use that and the 10th patch. No harm in waiting until after they hit the ice to see what kind of combination or placement they might come up with.

Cool thanks!

Yeah i looked up that guy's site as a basis (plus it has pics of the customization too)

I bought an 80s Sabres for my cousin. He wanted to make a Mogilny rookie jersey out of it. Just need the patch to complete it.

As long as it's a pretty good match i'm happy, as I know getting an authentic will be next to impossible unless I stumble across one by fluke.

Is this thread no longer pinned to the top? Does anyone know if the Canes are going to have an Allstar patch to wear for the Season. I havent heard anything mentioned about it. The Canes, im sure, are going to have the international patch when they play overseas to start the season.

#1 - Gotta be some kind of remake. There's no white stitching for the players stick or inbetween the red and blue wavy underlines.

Still, not a bad effort and the supply of the originals dried up suddenly. I'd buy that if I had no other options.

#2 - Again, I call remake. The "2004" isn't the same and the letters are thinner than mine.

#3 - a not so good remake. Never, ever made for public sale. The letters in "hockey" are very thin and the K is way taller than the C, plus I think they should be more orange. Still, the only place I've ever seen an embroidered version.

I got the 9/11 patch off ebay right after it was worn. No idea if that was just someone duplicating them or a real one. Never saw a real one photographed close enough to tell.

The Blue Cross patch is also mine and one I printed myself. It's not embroidered like a real one.

Have you ever sent me a friend request on webshots? If you do, then you can see my images full hi-res (10x10 inches at 300 dpi), so you can compare mine to anything in the future.

I hate those WCoH patches that are on eBay right now. The best way to tell that they're NOT any good is the rounded corner at the bottom left. It should be squared off like the one in Jeff's shot.

I think that one is too small but I may be mistaken.

Correct. An All-Star shoulder patch should be in the 4 inch width range and have a quarter inch border around it for sewing in nearly every instance.

Thanks guys. So is there anywhere to actually get a correct one? And for that matter, all teams?

You can get current teams logo patches for All-Star jerseys directly from National Emblem who manufactures them.

Older patches can be hard to find, like Jeff said be mindful of the size, it should be around 4 inches (depending on the shape of the logo). Remember to be patient, Xcdude and I were both searching for an old-style Canucks Orca patch for over a year and eventually a guy popped up on eBay with a few still in the National Emblem packaging from the late 90's.

Wow, that is awesome. So that Flyers one would work for a 2008 all star jersey, correct? I managed to get one without a Flyers logo.

I have a heck of a time posting photos properly so I'm just going to supply a link to a jersey. I have a question about the eastside probert posted jersey in the thread. The patch on the left hand shoulder I've seen before on a Yzerman jersey, but never got a good look at it and I don't personally remember them. Can anyone identify it and where I might find one although I know it will be virtually impossible.
