Really happy with how the customization came out. Love the one piece name and the bronze layer correctly matches the bronze stripes, not just bronze twill. Awesome detail and very different. I've seen variations on the rear nameplate and I think there should be holes in the B, O, and D, and no gap in between the N and the D, but whatever. This is pretty close for a 20 year old jersey. Does anyone have pics of gamers from the 99-00 season? The pics I found were from the 98-99 season so maybe the style changed from year to year. Bondra cracks my all-time favs roster as in one of my top 12 fav forwards. Between Demitra, Palffy, Bondra and Hossa, there's been some serious Slovak stars on the wing. Same style '2' on the rear as well, but I have also seen a gamer with the style '2' done up here. If I were a die-hard Caps fan maybe it'd bother me, but for the age of the jersey, how close the customization is, and the apparent differences in customization, this is good enough for me. This was worn during the time that he took over as Captain from Lindros. BUT, he relinquished the “C” on October 23 or 24 of that year and this jersey would have been worn on 10/31. So, I’m thinking that he didn’t wear any letter because LeClair and Recchi were alternate captains that year. Anyway, didn’t want to create any drama, but I just felt compelled to let you know. I appreciate this. I actually did try to research it to see if I could find any images of that particular game but couldn’t. While I know Leclair and Recchi wore the A, I did find examples of games where Desjardins wore the A that particular season (perhaps as a 3rd alternate). It looks exactly like my 1999-00 Desjardins that was done by Ruberti’s, the official customizer at the time. Just iffy on the “A“. They gave the “C” to Primeau after Rico gave it up so they wouldn’t have been allowed three “A”s, but without seeing footage from the game I can’t be 100%. Mine: For sure, I was implying he would wear it when one of the 3 captains was injured.
